My Projects

The grand finales of my seasons

SQL Database

SQL select gif A SQL Database Management System I built from scratch in C++ over 16 days, featuring my rigorously tested custom B+ Tree for O(log n) data manipulations. I also crafted every other part, from state machines to the tokenizer, parser, and table. My toughest project yet, but it was a blast to learn.

Knowledge Nexus

Knowledge Nexus gif First time I used React was for my paid internship. With React, me and my two friends developed a video catalog website for future interns to use as an archive and reference. Fun facts are we developed it in 4 days and we starred in the videos. A funny moment was when a team of three backend-focused engineers was voted as having the best UI/UX out of five websites by the interns and mentor.

Graphing Calculator

Graphing Calculator gif Written in C++, I built all the data stuctures, tokenizers, algorithms and database mechanisms utilized by the graphing calculator. With optimization in mind, these were built in my first OOP(Object-oriented Programming) class under the supervision of my amazing professor. As a challenge, he had me create a feature that remembers the last zoom and pan settings on a graph and then uses that data to redisplay it exactly as the user left it. Using SFML(Simple and Fast Multimedia Library), the front end came together in just two days. I loved developing this app and am really proud of it. I'm also grateful for the many coding experiences and lessons this project taught me. Sorry for the long story—got a bit nostalgic! But hey, it’s what shaped me.

Whack A Mole

Whack A Mole gif For my first ever introductory CS class, I was both nervous and thrilled to build a Whac-A-Mole game. Growing up with arcade games, I was pumped when my professor announced it as our final project. Looking back, the challenge was what attached me to Computer Science. From coding a simple "Hello World" in C++ to crafting a complete graphic game in merely 16 weeks, I went on to create a Random Pattern Generator that drives the game's flow and animations, all built on the foundations provided by my professor.

Thank You for completing all 4 seasons of Min Phone Myat Zaw's Coding Journey!

Something's in the kitchen right now. Hopefully, the new season arrives in September 2024. Stay Tuned!
